Racial/Ethnic Disparities

A growing number of HSC research products examine access to and utilization of medical care for the nation's ethnic and racial minorities. Analyses in this area explore the role of health insurance, the health care safety net, and other resources to reduce access differences between whites, Latinos and African Americans. In addition, HSC is monitoring the effects of changes in the health care system on access and use.
