"Bundling" Payment for Episodes of Hospital Care: Issues and Recommendations for the New Pilot Program in Medicare

As part of the health reform law the Department of Health and Human Services must launch a pilot project to bundle Medicare payments around hospital “episodes” of care. Bundling payments can be a win-win-win for everyone involved, including taxpayers, according to a Center for American Progress paper coauthored by HSC President Paul B. Ginsburg, Ph.D.
